2020 Denver Rescue Mission Donations
Thank you to all of our Zimkor employees who donated to the Denver Rescue Mission. Denver Rescue Mission has been serving the most vulerable in our cummunity for more than 128 years. Zimkor employees in years past would donate their time to help with dinner service. Due to COVID-19 our Zimkor employees were not able to donate their time to the mission, so we found other ways of helping others. Our employees donated so many helpful items the mission had to make 2 trips to pick up all the items that were donated. Once again thank you for your dedication and commitment helping others in need.

2018 Halloween
In the office we had 9 people participate in the door decorating competition: Liz, Randy, Yesenia, Irene, Kim, Traci, Gary, Shana, Shelly. A lot of thought, effort, and creativity were put into all of the doors/office spaces. We had people coming in from the shop to check out the decorations and put in their votes. We even were able to show off our decorations to a couple of Hilti employees when they came to visit Brent Ross and Leslie from Aflac. Jon Humphreys and Dave Genova were our vote counters. Irene won 1st place, Shelly won 2nd place, Shana won 3rd place. At 3pm we had a party with homemade guac from Yesenia, mud pudding and Halloween themed drinks from Irene, Chips and queso from Randy O, and a veggie, meat, and cheese tray from Liz. Special Mentions: Yesenia and Irene for helping set up everything for the shop and office and to keep things running smoothly. Kim, Shelly, and Shana for taking extra time at home to glue, paint, and personalize their doors with some handmade decorations! Jon Humphreys for creating the “I voted” stickers for people to wear around the office after they turned in their votes New ideas and creativity is key!

July 2018 Lawrence Community Center Meal
by Casey Brown
On Friday July 13th a dozen Zimkor employees and family members served and cleaned up the dinner meal at the center and in conjunction with the Denver Rescue Mission. I am very grateful our folks (a smaller but no less enthusiastic group) took the time to serve the homeless community in this fashion on a hot Friday afternoon, battle traffic downtown and volunteer their efforts. The experience is always powerful and the DRM continues to serve a powerful function for the homeless of the Denver area. It is hard to understand all the stories behind the folks who walk through the chow line but we hear repeatedly “thank you” and “God bless you” from so many. Very humbling indeed and the work of the DRM appears unmatched in the state of Colorado. We are committed to serve a meal twice a year at the Center and we thank you, Jane Hampe and all at the DRM, for the opportunity to serve along side you! We encourage ALL of the Zimkor family (employees, family, friends, subcontractors, suppliers and associates) to consider supporting the mission with your prayers, your hands AND your checkbook.
